We just received two fresh flower cultivars grown & bred by the master horticulturalists at Fig Farms... Original Purple Fig & Rotten Bananas.
'Original Purple Fig' is a cross of "Romulan x Snow Leopard (Chem Dawg x Uzbekistan Hash Plant x Afgoo x Blockhead) x #11 (Green Crack x Haze)." It has a wonderfully unique flavor with notes of caramel, incense, & hibiscus; reminiscent of some classic early European 'Afghan x Haze' hybrids. The effect has both indica & sativa medicinal properties with some patients reporting more relaxing indica qualities; while other patients pick up on the more cerebral characteristics stemming from the cultivars sativa heritage.
'Rotten Bananas' is a brilliant hybrid bred by Fig Farms using their deep stable of rare landrace genetics. The proprietary genetics behind Rotten Bananas are only known within Fig Farms inner circle. The cultivar has an incredible terpene-profile with strong notes of sugary banana candy, fresh banana rind, and the signature essence of early European 'hashplant x haze' hybrids that were popular in Amsterdam coffeeshops decades ago.
Fig Farms is based in Sonoma county, and is focused on growing in-house strains that they've meticulously bred through years of research & development. Their use of original landrace strains for breeding allows them to spawn hybrids with extremely unique phenotypical characteristics not found in any other breeding lines. In 2017 Fig Farms won first place in the NorCal High Times Cannabis Cup for their landmark creation, Banana Fig 8.
